Forest Products Laboratory partners with ISU

The Forest Products Laboratory (FPL) has worked for more than 25 years with Iowa State University (ISU). The FPL decided to reestablish the NCWTS at ISU based on their years of cooperative research together in the area of wood bridges as well as their extensive expertise in transporation structures.

National Park Service

The National Park Service has a developing partnership with the FPL and because of this was included as a partner in the new NCWTS at ISU.

Federal Highway Administration

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a long standing cooperative relationship with the FPL, and because of this was included as a partners in the new NCWTS at ISU.

Goal of the Parntership

Established and funded through a university/government/industry partnership, the NCWTS will provide greater program efficiency and leverage federal funding to maximize public benefit at minimal cost.
